LaDarius Beard brings together expertise in commercial real estate, fuel and travel center investment, and enterprise technology sales. He has built a career at the meeting point of property, data and the public sector, and he co-founded BDH to bring that experience to East Africa’s trade corridors.

LaDarius began his career in commercial real estate investment brokerage, specialising in the acquisition and disposition of gas stations, truck stops, travel centers and industrial sale-leaseback properties across the Southeastern United States. He built relationships with property owners, investors, operators and developers, sourced and marketed investment opportunities, analysed markets, and guided transactions from first contact through closing. This work gave him a detailed understanding of what makes a fuel and travel center site successful, the same knowledge that now guides Caracal’s.

He went on to work in location intelligence for the commercial real estate industry, helping owners, developers, brokers and investment firms across the United States use foot traffic data and location analytics to evaluate markets, choose sites and make smarter investment decisions.

LaDarius has since built a career in enterprise technology sales, partnering with schools, non-profit organisations and government agencies, including courts, public safety agencies, treasury offices, utilities and local governments, to modernise how they operate and collect payments. His work spans executive relationship building, solution design, negotiation and contracting with public institutions, experience that strengthens BDH’s partnerships with governments, landowners and communities.

LaDarius holds a Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he studied the full development process, from site selection and feasibility to finance, design and delivery. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from East Texas A&M University, and is a licensed real estate professional in Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina and Massachusetts.

Beyond his professional work, LaDarius is passionate about social and economic development in East Africa, supporting initiatives focused on education, land access, entrepreneurship and economic empowerment.

At BDH, LaDarius leads the group’s strategy across Caracal’s, BDH Properties and IRONGOLD Construction. He brings a developer’s discipline and a broker’s eye for value to every project, ensuring that each site is well located, financially sound and built to last as BDH grows its network of travel centers across East Africa.
